Hey everyone!!
It seems like I haven't posted in a really long time!!
Ok:
The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Emmuska Orczy, is the story of a daring, bold and adventurous band of noble Englishmen who risk their lives to rescue innocent aristocrats from "Madame Guillotine." Set during the height of the French Revolution, this book follows the story of Sir Percy Blakeney, his wife Marguerite, and their involvement with the society of the Scarlet Pimpernel. I don't want to give to much of the story away!!
This book is incredibly fascinating, and if you like adventure stories, love stories, history, or if you just like a good book, then you will definitely like this book.
If you like this one, there at least 10 more books in the series, including "Eldorado," "The Elusive Pimpernel" and "The League of the Scarlet Pimpernel."
Oh! Also, this is where my name is from!
Read it and let me know what you thought.

It sounds exciting! I hope to read it sometime soon - truly. I really like the French Revolution.
ReplyDeleteI had to read this for school. I didn't like it that much. I thought that Marguerite girl was kind of annoying. Whatevs. Anyway, what did you give it out of five?
ReplyDeleteI knew I forgot something! I guess I give it a 4/5. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteI think we need some more followers. Things are kind of slow around here. We don't have enough "commentors."
ReplyDeleteWith that last word spelled with an "er".....
ReplyDeleteI agree ;)

ReplyDeleteWell! I am so sorry to have offended your royal highness.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean, "offend" me?
ReplyDeleteIs something, wrong, my lord?
ReplyDeleteI am not your lord! And nothing is wrong. Nothing! Got that? At least I spelled that right!

ReplyDeleteWell, excuse me, not-my-lord. You corrected me in spelling on here once. Remember? Sheesh, why have you been so over-sensitive lately?
ReplyDeleteI am not being oversensitive! Why don't you just mind your own business and leave me alone!!
ReplyDeleteFine. You started it. But I want nothing more than to stop fighting. Really, though, is something wrong? You act so strange whenever I comment.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I understand, you are ignoring me.
ReplyDeleteBreak it up, break it up! For goodness' sake, you two!
ReplyDeleteI am breaking it up Caesar! I'm ignoring her. So there!
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, please don't ignore me! I have done nothing wrong! I want to be friends again! I am sorry for what I did, whatever it was!
ReplyDeleteGood post Lord Anthony. I have never read The Scarlet Pimpernel, but it sounds interesting. Perhaps someday I will read it, but my list of books to read is pretty long and I've been rather busy lately so my time available for reading is limited. I apologize for not commenting more often, its just I simply have nothing really to say. I shall try to comment more often.

Thanks! I completely understand having too much to read!! I will never be able to read everything that I have said I would read!! Well... maybe someday! Do comment. It doesn't matter if you have anything interesting to say, just knowing that someone is actually following is cool.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered how there could be more books after the first because the Scarlet Pimpernel's identity is revealed at the end of the book. Or perhaps I'm just really ignorant and missing the obvious. :) I did really enjoy The Scarlet Pimpernel.
